Awards and Recognition

CHAPTER AWARDS
For 2007, received in 2008

Joining a record crowd of over 750 members from across the United States, local Women's Council officers and past officers participated in the National Women's Council of REALTORS® annual Awards Banquet in the Nation's Capitol on May 16, 2008.

The Metropolitan St. Louis Chapter received the Gold Level Award for Chapter Excellence in the Mega Chapter category, the highest level award presented annually at the national awards ceremonies.  St. Louis's chapter received this outstanding achievement for the 3rd consecutive year, for years 2005, 2006 and 2007.

To qualify, chapters across the country must follow a nationally mandated business plan and receive points for each category in which they submit the required documentation for yearly progress in such areas as general membership meetings, membership recruitment and retention, governing board meetings, travel by officers to state and national meetings, cooperation with the local real estate board, and educational opportunities provided.

Jan Thomas of REALTY EXECUTIVES West County, 2007 local chapter president, accepted the award on behalf of the St. Louis Chapter.  The engraved glass plaque will join the Women's Council archives at the St. Louis Association headquarters.
